Re-decorating the ManCave

Well summer's almost gone and it's time to start to plan ahead for the days when you don't wanna sit on the balcony nomore to enjoy your daily pipe.
I got to a fair start this spring before summer hit with full force and vacation and travelling and puppys and whatnot.
I just threw everythin in down there and left enough room to sit down somewhere - but now I feel like it is being a bit helter-skelter.
There needs to be at least three, maybe four stations;
1. The smoke station
2. The fly-tying station (these two could probably be combined)
3. The workshop (for making pipes and all sorts of small work)
4. The guest corner (this is something that might not be prioritized, haven't had that many guests yet...)

To top it off I would want to set upp a small writer's corner (could be the same as 1/2 above) with a computer and possibly a flat wall-screen, and this COULD also develop into a small studio... Decisions, decisions.

Anyway, there is some stuff that I need to cram in there - I took some pictures today to help me plan.

Sent some samples of the "old" OleFattBalkan and OleFattEnglish to P, a fellow member of Smokers' Forums. To my delight he really liked them!!
Now I am waiting for Greg Pease or Craig Tarler to get in touch ;)

Home Blending

I have recently started to interest myself in the why's and how's of tobacco blending. I have even started out on a really small scale to do my own blends that I jokularly have branded "OleFatt[blendName goes here]".
So far I have made OleFattBalkan (a mix that focuses on Orientals/VA/Latakia) and OleFattEnglish (a mixture that focuses on VA/Latakia/Oriental/SecretCondiments).

The two little tins have been cellaring over the summer and I have tried (Oh how I have tried) not to open them and smoke. I have failed miserably. I HAD to try the two at least a couple of times on the way (thereby spoiling any chance of anaerobic ageing, but well, you can't please'em all).

They taste really good IMHO, but then again I am fairly biased. Will send of a few small samples to people for reviews really soon now...

Anyway, I have ordered and recieved more blending tobacco and will make up slightly bigger batches and also introduce the OleFattVaPer and the OleFattOriental.

Meer coloring - that's it!
